About
I’ve spent more than 20 years working in finance and operations, and the questions that interest me most reach across the entire organization: What are we trying to accomplish? What is getting in the way? And what do people need to do their best work?
Numbers give me a place to start. Understanding what produced them means getting closer to the work, listening to the people doing it, and asking questions that may not yet have a comfortable answer.
That is where I do some of my best work.
I like to understand how things actually happen. Where information gets lost. Which processes create unnecessary work. Whether people understand what is expected of them and have what they need to deliver.
My approach brings financial discipline together with an understanding of operations and people. I want leaders to have information they can use, teams to have clarity, and systems to make good work easier.
I’m comfortable naming a problem, including one that has become familiar enough for everyone to work around. I also know that identifying it is only the beginning. Progress takes trust, sound judgment, and a willingness to build the solution with the people who will use it.
Most recently, I served as Senior Vice President, Finance & Operations at The Guardian US, with regional CFO responsibilities. During my five years of leadership, I helped more than double US revenue, scaling the business to approximately $100 million while strengthening the financial and operational foundations supporting it.
My career has taken me across media, transportation, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and consumer businesses, including roles at Viacom, Johnson & Johnson, Coach USA, and Wyndham. Working across industries has taught me to learn the environment before assuming I know the answer, and to recognize useful patterns without overlooking what makes each organization different.
As a founding board treasurer of Ivy Hill Preparatory Charter School, I have also seen how financial stewardship helps create opportunities for students, families, and communities.
My speaking and writing grow out of questions I have encountered throughout my career.
What do organizations actually reward, and what behaviors do those rewards encourage? How do we recognize leadership potential? What experiences develop good judgment, and how do we preserve those experiences as AI takes on more of the work?
I bring an executive’s perspective to these conversations, grounded in the responsibility of making decisions, leading teams, and delivering results. I’m interested in helping people see familiar challenges more clearly and consider what they could do differently.
I’ve brought that perspective to the main stage at Pharrell Williams’ Mighty Dream conference, women’s leadership discussions at Sustainable Brands, CFO conferences, and conversations about transformative leadership.
I’m the daughter of Jamaican immigrants and a mother myself. Community, education, and financial independence have shaped both my choices and my sense of responsibility.
I care about what people have the opportunity to become, and the role leaders play in expanding those possibilities.
That is the purpose behind my work: building capacity, inspiring change, and driving impact.
For speaking engagements, executive opportunities, or a conversation about the questions shaping your organization, I’d welcome hearing from you.
